Our school, which is the leading educational institution in the region, has a vast experience in the education of young staff in the fields of Business and Economics as well as in the development of teaching and learning entrepreneurship, which is an inseparable component of the educational programs of the teaching process.

The inception of teaching and learning entrepreneurship took place in 2001 when our school was selected as a partner in the Austrian project EKO Net for learning entrepreneurship by using a new and educative concept of school training firms. This concept enables students to put their theoretical knowledge from the field of economics into practice during the practical teaching classes for entrepreneurship. These trainings enhance their knowledge and skills and stimulate their entrepreneurial spirit, so they can get easily involved on the labor market and get encouraged to start up their own business, which will be beneficial for the wider social community and is within the context of the European strategy for the development of entrepreneurship.

Teaching and learning entrepreneurship is a significant challenge for our educational institution and we respond to it by implementing continuous activities which upgrade and modernise the teaching process through:
• organization of a School Fair of Business and Entrepreneurship which provides the students with a possibility to show their entrepreneurial knowledge, skills and competencies in front of the local community;
• cooperation with the business sector in the implementation of the practical teaching classes for students and improvement of students’ entrepreneurial knowledge and skills through a specialized curriculum for the SPIN programme (Gaining Professional Experience under Supervision);
• use of the model for learning entrepreneurship taken from the School Center for Entrepreneurial Learning De Rooi Pannen from Tilburg, the Netherlands, embodied in our school marketing agency ‘Trend’;
• use of the model for learning entrepreneurship taken from the Finansisko stopanska Gimnazija from Sofija , R. Bugarija in the form of an Impulse Center for Entrepreneurship, where the students from the Club of Young Entrepreneurs are the executors of the main activities.
